Sansevieria Trifasciata Moonshine – Snake Plant

What a stunner! Sansevieria Moonshine has very unique pale silver-grey-green foliage with faint bands across the leaves and dark green margins. The leaf colour will darken in shade. Some minor leaf cracking may occur.

Also known as Silver Snake Plant, this broad-leafed Sansevieria is an exotic houseplant guaranteed to add elegance and texture to your home or office. It is particularly eye-catching as a contrast plant when displayed alongside other darker-leafed Sansevieria.

Steal the spotlight! Let your trifasciata Moonshine live its best life by placing it in a brightly lit spot as a shadier location can cause its leaves to darken.

Ensure your Sansevieria has adequate drainage to allow any excess water to drain to avoid its roots becoming waterlogged and risking root rot.

Squeaky clean! Make sure to wipe the stems of your trifasciata Moonshine regularly to remove any dust and help maximise its air purifying powers.

Light

Sansevieria Moonshine is a relatively hardy plant which enjoys conditions from full sun to light shade and is also able to adapt to low light conditions if preferred.

Watering

Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, then water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.

Temperature

This Snake Plant will be happy in temperatures between 15°C and 23°C. It can also tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C for short periods.

Humidity

Moonshine thrives in normal household humidity. Avoid humid locations but if brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.

Feed

Apply a weak dose of cactus or general purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season. Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and don’t need a lot of food.

The trifasciata Moonshine is a slow-grower and typically reaches an ultimate height of 30cm to 1.2 metres.
