Polyscias are versatile, small, indoor, branching trees. They grow in an upright and compact manner, making them suitable even in smaller spaces. Polyscias translates from the Greek as “many” and “shade”, a reference to their abundant foliage.
The HydroCare version of Polyscias Roble has small green-brown leaves that grow along the full length of the branches, creating a mass of tropical green tranquillity for your home.

Horty Hints
Away with the wilt! Wilted stems and shrivelled leaves are often a sign that there are pests involved. Check the affected areas thoroughly and treat accordingly. See our pests page for help.
Prune to maintain shape and develop thicker trunks. Pinch out leaves to encourage branching.
Lower leaves can drop in the colder seasons. This is natural and has the added benefit of revealing more of the attractive trunk feature.
Light
Polyscias Roble prefers moderate to bright, indirect light but can also adapt to shade. Avoid direct sunlight as this may scorch the plant.
Watering
Keep an eye on the water meter. Water when the meter has been on minimum for 4 to 7 days. Take a look at our HydroCare set up guide for more information.
Temperature
Likes things warm, so anything above 15°C will suit it well. For best results find a place with a temperature of 18-29°C.
Humidity
Prefers moderate to high humidity levels. Dry air may cause leaf drop. Mist regularly. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
Feed
Add a Hydroculture liquid feed every 2 to 3 waterings during the spring and summer months.
Height & Growth Rate
The Aralia Roble is a slow-growing plant once established, and will typically reach an ultimate height of 1 to 2 metres.
Toxicity
May be considered toxic. Keep away from pets and children to be on the safe side.
Origin
