Peperomia obtusifolia Green looks just like a miniature Rubber Plant, and hence its common name. Baby Rubber Plant is a bushy, upright plant with thick stems and fleshy, glossy, cupped leaves. It has a compact, spreading nature and is particularly suited to growing in low or fluorescent light, making it perfect for offices and shady spots. It forms narrow spikes of off-white flowers on red-brown stems.
Also known as Pepper Face or Blunt-Leafed Peperomia. Radiator Plants are very much on trend, they are easy to look after and look great displayed on desks or small tables.

Horty Hints
Big bold and… uneven? Obtusifolia can grow quite tall and uneven. Fill in the blanks by pinching out the tips of the plant in early spring, causing it to bush-out.
Keep it together! If this glossy green plant has grown too long and leggy, distorting its compact shape, it is reaching for the sunlight. Try moving to a brighter location.
How much is too much? Peperomia plants are sensitive to overwatering. Too wet and it will rot, too dry and it will die. When the soil has nearly dried out, give it a little drink.
Light
Peperomia are fine in moderate light conditions and will tolerate shade. Avoid direct sunlight. Ideal for the office or a basement flat as they do well under fluorescent lights.

Water when the soil has almost dried out. Do not overwater. Use soft water if possible and water from below. Water is stored in the leaves making these plants drought resistant.
